The Britannia is the oldest European bullion coin. It has been issued in silver since 1997 - but in 999 fine silver since 2013. The Britannia - the personification of Great Britain - can be seen on the obverse. The genius stands on a cliff and is endowed with four attributes: helmet, trident, and shield. In her left hand she also holds an olive branch as a sign of peace. The classic design goes back to Philip Nathan. Embossed in the circumscription is the year, the fineness (999 silver). the fine weight (1/10 oz) , as well as the name of the coin . On the value side you'll find the portrait of King Charles III.
