Motif and properties of the gold coin
The eponymous swan can be seen on the motif side. It is one of the famous Australian black swans (Cygnus atratus). It floats gracefully on the water, the neck forms the typical S, the feathers show the characteristic, slightly curled appearance. Immediately to the right of the swan is the Perth Mint's mint mark ("P"). Behind it a 5, which indicates that this is the fifth motif in the swan series from the Australian mint. The artist's abbreviation can be seen on the left. (Similar to the Kookabura or Koala series, the motif changes annually)
The legend shows the fine weight (1 oz) and the fineness (9999 gold) and the name of the coin. The current portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the value side. In addition to the year (2021) and the country of issue, the official face value of 100 Australian dollars can also be seen here.
