Motif and properties of the gold coin

The Gold Kangaroo has been issued by the Perth Mint since 1986 with annually changing kangaroo motifs. The reverse of each small gold coin portrays a kangaroo looking over its shoulder with a eucalyptus tree and grass trees in the background. The mintmark of the Perth Mint ("P") can also be seen here. The fine weight (1/10 oz), the fineness (9999 gold) and the current year are also stamped here. The current portrait of Elizabeth II (designed by Jody Clark) can be admired on the value side.
