2025 kookaburra design Reverse shows a kookaburra sitting on a branch, facing left. Known for its loud, "laughing" call, the kookaburra is a symbol of Australian wildlife. The background design is enhanced with rays of sunlight, emphasizing the bird's natural environment and giving the coin a dynamic, light-filled character. To the right, the series name "KOOKABURRA" and the inscription "35th ANNIVERSARY" commemorate the thirty-fifth anniversary of the first coin in this collection, which began in 1990 by the renowned Perth Mint.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.
