Bavaria Taler 1 oz Silver 2025
New splendour for Bavarian coinage history - Bullion coin combines tradition with innovationThe bullion coin Bayern Thaler is an investment coin made of precious metals, which is primarily used as an investment due to its precious metal value. This coin represents a reinterpretation of the historic Bavarian coin "Thaler", which functioned as legal tender in the Kingdom of Bavaria before the founding of the German Empire in 1871. The face value of the bullion coin is based on the weight of gold or silver. For example, one "Bayern Thaler" corresponds to one ounce of silver with a fineness of 999. The coin is minted in various versions in silver and gold.
For more than 860 years, the Bavarian Central Mint has been minting coins for payment transactions or as collector's items on behalf of the federal government. Today's Bavarian Main Mint was founded in 1158 with the granting of the right to mint coins to Munich by Henry the Lion. In particular, the task of minting cash is only allowed to be carried out by the five mints in Germany. The Bavarian Mint produces 21 percent of German circulation coins and 20 percent of German collector coins.
