Wombat 1 oz Silver 2022 from the Perth Mint
Buy the second motif from the new series from the Australian Perth Mint, which is entirely dedicated to the cute marsupial. The wombat 1 oz silver has a mintage of only 25,000 pieces.
Motif and characteristics of the silver coin
The Perth Mint is known for making the diverse wildlife of Australia the center of their bullion coins. In addition to koala, kangaroo, kookabura and swan, there is now a separate series about the wombat in silver. In the reverse design of 2022 1 oz Silver Wombat Coins, the Perth Mint features the image of one of these cuddly-looking creatures standing on all fours. The edge of the silver coin is embossed with the name of the coin, the traditional mint mark of the Perth Mint ("P"), the year (2022), the fine weight (1 oz) and the fineness (9999 silver).
As with all investment coins from the popular Australian mint, the reverse shows the current portrait of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark (the artist's initials are on the Queen's left shoulder). The inscription also shows the country of issue and the official face value of 1 Australian dollar.
