The Perth Mint is known for making the diverse wildlife of Australia the center of their bullion coins. In addition to koala, kangaroo, kookabura and swan, there is now a separate series about the wombat in silver. In the reverse design of 2024 1 oz Silver Wombat Coins, the Perth Mint features the image portrays a mother wombat and her baby. The design includes the inscription "WOMBAT," the weight and fineness, year-date and The Perth Mint's "P125" mint mark, celebrating The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary.. The edge of the silver coin is embossed with the name of the coin, the traditional mint mark of the Perth Mint ("P125"), the year (2023), the fine weight (1 oz) and the fineness (9999 silver).
As with all investment coins from the popular Australian mint, the reverse shows the current portrait of King Charles III. The inscription also shows the country of issue and the official face value of 1 Australian dollar.
