The motif side shows the stone of the sun (popularly known as the Aztec calendar, even if it is not actually a calendar). It is probably the best-known Mexican sculpture and became known on the bullion market due to the 1 kilo coins.
Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec ruler, is depicted on the reverse of the silver coin. It is surrounded by the fineness (999 silver) and the fine weight (1 oz).
