Austria Maria Theresa Silver Thaler - recoinage from the Austrian Mint
Buy one of the most popular and well-known silver coins worldwide as a new issue from the Austrian Mint. Price-optimized bagged goods for investment purposes. The Maria Theresa thaler has been minted since 1741 and changed its appearance several times in the years that followed. The coin has been issued in the same design since 1780, with the year 1780. The thaler was the official means of payment in Austria until October 31, 1858. The Austrian Mint continues this tradition and continues to mint the most minted coin in the world to this day. Between 1751 and 2017, around 400 million Maria Theresa thalers were minted. On the obverse of the coin the empress is depicted with the widow's veil and the circular: Maria Theresa, by God's grace, Empress of the Romans, Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy, Countess of Tyrol. On the lower edge of the thaler you can see the mint master's mark “SF”, which abbreviates the initials of the Günzburg mint masters Schöbl and Faby. On the reverse, the double-headed eagle, the imperial crown and the coat of arms are depicted, surrounded by the circular “Justitia et Clementia”, Latin for “justice and mildness”.
