Krugerrand 1 oz Silver 2024
Buy the most popular, oldest and highest-circulation bullion coin as a version in 1 ounce silver. Rely on worldwide acceptance and easy purchase.
Each Krugerrand in silver bears the traditional springbok antelope on the motif side as it gallops across the South African savannah on the front. The year of issue, the name of the silver coin and the fine weight (1 oz) are also embossed here. It is particularly worth mentioning that the abbreviation "R1" can also be seen. This stands for 1 South African Rand. Unlike the golden sister coin, the Krugerrand silver has an official face value (although the golden variant is also legal tender).
The exact fineness is not mentioned, there is only the note "Fine Silver". The South African Mint minted the Krugerrand in 999 fine silver. There is no limited mintage.
On the back you will find the portrait of Paul Kruger, surrounded by 200 toothed edges. The issuing country is presented in two language. The silver Krugerrand was first minted in 2017 in the minting quality uncirculated with a mintage of 630,000 pieces. From 2018, it was also issued as an investment coin. The motif side was designed by Coert Steynberg, the Paul Kruger side was designed by Otto Schultz.
